Jung and Adler suggested that the concepts of self-reconciliation could be considered interchangeable. Where Jung's concept of wholeness-duality cannot be achieved without individuation, and Adler's concept of superiority-inferiority cannot be achieved without a healthy lifestyle. Individualization is considered by Jung as a process of self-realization regarding the meaning and purpose of life, which must be achieved by a person. When he manages to know what he is like based on previous experiences, and he decides to be honest with the world by remaining himself, this integration is called the result of individuation. The process of individuation itself is definitely not easy and painful. It takes courage for a person to discover a part of themselves that has been neglected or rejected in order to facilitate this process of individuation. Therefore, the first step we can take is to recognize our shadow. Our Shadow actually strives to receive love no matter what, and this can harm us as well as the lives of others. The hope is that by recognizing our dark side in this way, we can better control it so that its spread does not explode and lead to regret. The desire for perfection is an excellent explanation of Adler's concept of the nature of the human psyche. Therefore, in addition to accepting the inferiority that we have, we are required to be able to achieve excellence, and a healthy lifestyle is also required to be able to maintain this state. One of the ideas behind this healthy lifestyle is to be socially useful or have good relationships with the people around us. As social beings, we live dynamic lives and need other people. This concept will not change even if we reach Consummation. Therefore, the fiction or imagination we create must remain realistic and healthy for both ourselves and others. Self-acceptance of the past or also our shortcomings takes time. As a first instinctive reaction, people often choose to continue living as if the problem never happened. Often in the future, when we experience an experience similar to this memory, we can become dissolved in the same negative emotions that we had in the past. In fact, it is never too late to start recognizing the shadow or dark side within us. We will always have shortcomings, or a dark past, or a bad character, but pushing all this into the shadows will not go away. It is in our power to talk, learn, reconcile, and accept what we so diligently repress into our shadow. We repress what we are afraid of, what will not go away.
