I recently published a post-invitation to courses in hypnosis, suggestion and self-hypnosis. Many people became interested in it as if it were something mysterious. At one time, when I studied this art from practicing psychotherapists, I perceived hypnosis techniques as a little bit of magic, but still magic. But in this post I want to lift the veil of mystery over the art of suggestion. And most importantly, explain how such a skill can help people who are not specialist psychologists. What can hypnosis give in “ordinary” life, and not at an appointment with a psychotherapist? Let me start with the fact that I do not teach “circus” hypnosis. The spectacular performances of circus hypnotists, when on stage people catch butterflies in their sleep, climb a non-existent ladder, lie like a bridge with the back of their heads and heels on the backs of chairs - this is not the area of interest and skills of a practicing psychologist. It has its own methods, its own secrets and, one would hope, its own ethics. Somnambulism (sleepwalking), or the third stage of hypnotic trance, in which such “miracles” occur, is used in therapeutic, psychotherapeutic hypnosis not with the aim of impressing the public, and with the goal of HEALING a person, helping him solve some problem - getting rid of a phobia (obsessive fear), easing anxiety, helping a person overcome traumatic memories, eliminating sleep disorders, relieving pain - physical or mental - and so on. This stage is more likely to be suitable for psychotherapy. But the second stage - hypnotic sleep with the possibility of deep useful suggestions, but without a person walking around the room in a trance - can well be mastered by anyone who wants it, if he is not too lazy to put in the work. I especially emphasize: hypnosis is a TECHNIQUE, and not some kind of mystical power that is given only to the “chosen ones.” Of course, like any complex skill, it can be achieved by different people to varying degrees of perfection. After all, we are not surprised that one drives a car easily and in any conditions, and the other, with eyes in his forehead, trudges in the far right lane behind the bus with all the stops (like me personally, for example))). One surgeon masterfully performs the most complex operations, the other works with a C grade. And so in any business, there is no magic or mystical gift here. So, as they write in textbooks on hypnosis, anyone can learn it, it’s just that one hypnotist puts 90% of people into a trance, another 20. But in any case, the HEALING POWER OF HYPNOSIS works even with a not very experienced hypnotist. Many parents secretly hope hypnotize your children so that they begin to behave well. Is this technically possible? Yes... for 1-2 days. Personally, I once conducted such a test for a fellow teacher on her 12-year-old hooligan son. His mother claimed that he was simply “incapable” of behaving normally. In front of her eyes, I put him to sleep and inspired in every detail exactly how he would behave today when he came home from school: he would kiss his mother, help her with the housework, sit down for his homework and diligently do it, and so on. The next day she enthusiastically told me: “It’s like you gave me another child!” Yes, but the effect of such “educational” hypnosis is very short, and within a day he returned to his usual way of life. I just needed to prove to my mother that the boy CAN behave like a human being and that she should start raising him. Re-educating children under hypnosis is a pointless exercise; it needs to be done daily in deeds and actions, and not in dreams. But if your child has disturbed sleep, has fears (of the dark, for example, or fear of answering at the blackboard, or compulsive hand washing, etc. further), - this is where therapeutic hypnosis will most likely help, and you can easily master this technique yourself and make suggestions. By the way, there is even a technique for TRANSFERING NATURAL SLEEP INTO HYPNOTIC: a child or an adult is sleeping, you perform this technique - and the person goes into a state of hypnotic trance, open to USEFUL suggestions. Attention - an important note - to hypnotize an adult and +79687465967
