From the author: Reflections on the topic of taking care of yourself, about you, about us...Energy, strength, good mood comes to anything. This is also due to the idea that effort is necessary in any successful business. That is why many who do not find much meaning or purpose in what they are doing quickly give up without waiting for the “magic pill.” Seeing a doctor, taking care of your health, adding exercise to your daily routine, changing your eating style or rest schedule - first of all, means changing something in your life. In order for anything to change in life, you should realize that prevents these changes - for example, internal beliefs or attitudes, as well as coming to terms with what pulls us in the opposite direction from health. Making friends, reconciling, and not getting rid of, removing - this is what psychotherapy is all about. Therefore, if there is something to be healthy for, we can draw from many things what will be useful for us, and intuition itself will prompt and guide us. What blocks and problems may there be related to health, that is, why don’t we really want this? - denial of your body - the presence of psychological trauma from the past or difficult life circumstances in the present - internal conflicts - unconscious repetition of experiences from the family system or clan And also... - lack of goals, objectives and harmonious meanings in life! Rigidity in all its glory! If we talk about the first point, denial of one’s body, then a fairly common phenomenon for modern people has become a lack of “sense of self,” constantly being “in the head,” an incessant stream of thoughts, constantly looking ahead, into the future (note that this is not setting or having goals, which I will write about later). "To give up control, we must allow the head to listen to the body. How difficult this is for most people in our rational world! Too many of us live guided by the head, instead of to listen to the desires of the body" - these words were written by A. Lowen, a famous and brilliant psychotherapist of his time, who created the direction of body-oriented psychotherapy. The ability to be in oneself, in one’s body, is almost an allusion to the expression “to be in one’s mind.” And in a sense, this is true, because in any direction of psychotherapy a lot of attention is paid to bodily manifestations and phenomena. In the eastern hemisphere, since ancient times, various practices have been used, which also had the ability to return a person to his own body: yoga, qigong, Sufi whirling, etc. In the direction of qigong, which I will write about in more detail on my blog and on my website, there are similar techniques, like those of a modern neuropsychologist or kinesiologist, that directly affect the functioning of the brain and nervous system. Speaking about psychological trauma, of course, I don’t want to set you and myself on edge with this term, but it’s impossible to ignore the need to resolve some of the past traumatic situations, taking into account all the experience of working with clients and your experience as a client. Traumas can carry with them messages from the past, for example: “I will never be needed by anyone” or “everything I undertake is pointless!” P. Sanaev’s book “Bury me behind the baseboard” best demonstrates the process of traumatization of a family member within the family system. Internal conflicts and tensions tend to take a lot of attention and energy. These include multidirectional internal impulses (“I want to stay with this partner” and “I want to leave this partner”), and giving meaning to things and situations that are dissonant with the personality and inner world of a person. Thus, there is simply no time left for health and self-care attention and time! Usually, in this case, it sounds like “I don’t have a minute to myself!”. Giving meaning to unconscious attempts to help your family with something often comes from birth or from childhood, when, for example, when there is disharmony in the relationship between parents. the only possible psychological defense is the desire to stop the quarrel, to stand between?:-)
