From the author: Velvet season in the Dubovoy farm. Now we can say: “We were here. PSY-house” We have wanted to implement this visiting psychological group for a long time. Six months ago, when Vladimir spoke about his base for conducting psychological events and invited us, we were inspired by this idea. Unfortunately, none of us leading the groups were able to come to the place in advance and see how it really was there. Therefore, there were some fears: suddenly everything would turn out worse than in the photographs and in the stories of the owner of the base, suddenly the cuisine would not be tasty, suddenly the hall would be completely unsuitable for the format of our work. However, all our doubts were dispelled upon arrival. The honeycomb-shaped log houses with a window into the starry sky were very cozy and, despite the already cool nights, retained heat perfectly. The kitchen was wonderful and everyone was well fed. And two excellent rooms for group work. Vladimir himself turned out to be a very interesting person, pleasant and easy to talk to, with an excellent sense of humor, and with great energy and creativity. After all, coming to the very idea of creating a training base in a farm (!) is worth a lot. And then not to abandon it as if it were crazy, but to make houses, halls and a gazebo with your own hands, and start holding events there (and our training there was already the eighth) - this is cool, guys. This is me, as a Gestalt coach, telling you :-). We can talk about Volodya and his activities separately and for a long time, but it’s better to come with us next year and see everything for yourself. First we needed to get to Dubovoy. The roads in Russia never cease to “delight”: Rostov saw us off (and then met us) with a traffic jam on the M-4, and between Shakhty and Dubovoy the asphalt seems not to have been updated since the time of Mamai. But this was something that had to be overcome on the way to this unusual place. Of course, the very fact of leaving our metropolis for nature already plays its therapeutic role. Phones don’t have network coverage, there’s no TV, and there’s no Internet either: there’s nowhere to escape from yourself—the contact is much closer than in a normal home environment. There were no televisions, but there was a crazy starry sky and songs with a guitar around the fire. We were there for three days: we arrived on Friday evening, Sunday was the day of departure, and Saturday was the busiest working day. And Saturday morning began with the leading groups splitting up: Anya Gamzina led the participants to meditation, Marina Dmitrieva decided to go fishing, and I decided to sleep :). And then there were group works and processes: and there was everything that happens in groups: laughter and tears, conflicts and reconciliation, and acting out long-suppressed emotions, closing old Gestalts and opening new ones... There were also awarenesses, discoveries and perhaps changes. Everyone has their own. And there was also that phenomenon of group psychotherapy when people who were unfamiliar to you just yesterday become very close, and you can open up with them things that you had never even told yourself about before. This is probably what is called a Meeting in Gestalt. The final procedure of our journey also deserves a separate description. Volodya is making a stone pyramid on his territory (by the way, it was a “point of communication with the world” - since cell phones were only picked up near it). And so, in the group, a decision was born for everyone to lay a stone or several there with their desire, a message to the world and to themselves. The procedure turned out to be fascinating, and the pyramid gained a little height. We are very glad that the “Velvet Season” took place! Our Workshop PSY-house (a union of four specialists united by respect for Gestalt, and the fact that we all graduated from the Taganrog Gestalt Workshop, albeit in different years) appeared less than a year ago. The fact that in this generally short time we have OUR clients who are interested in us greatly inspires us to new ideas and projects! Thank you and see you again, friends! Efremov Denis.
