based on a meeting with teenagers at the festival “I am Youth” While talking at the festival with teenagers about why it is difficult for them to start creating, about what kind of experiences they experience in front of a canvas, we smoothly moved on to how In general, we see contemporary art as creativity. As a result, we made three versions of what it means to create and create something new. Below I have described each of the options. I hope that after reading this, it will become easier for creative people to differentiate between emotional impulses and daily work. And I really hope that they will be able to combine the first and second =) Option one. Emotions. Everyone has a sea of feelings and experiences inside, and creative people who feel the world more acutely and subtly are even more so. In order not to burn out, not to burn out, to simply throw out your experiences, to share your inner world, you can create beauty. By the way, the desire to create is relevant not only for people of art, it is typical for everyone. Remember the lines from the popular song “they say that everyone writes at 19 years old.” And everything would be fine. But! It is in such situations that we are most often not happy with the result. Emotions still remain emotions even if we made a picture or an origami tulip out of them. But not everyone loves and accepts their emotions. Therefore, the product itself often causes rejection and criticism. It is worth understanding and realizing that this product is not a work of art. You didn't create it with composition, geometric shapes, ethics, or aesthetics in mind. You were thinking about the situation that was gnawing at you. So put it on the table and forget about it. If you have poured out “negative” emotions, go and fill yourself with “positive” ones (listen to your favorite music, eat an apple). The main thing to remember is that this is not for the viewer, it is for you, for the table. Option two. Craft. You have to work on the flow. Or on assignment. Or on the job and on assignment. Some people at school are given a theme to create on, while others have a client order a holiday theme. The task is to take it out and put it in. Are you a creative person and you need inspiration... what to do? Learn to create a product with a snap of your fingers. Perhaps this product will not become the next square of the famous Malevich - but it should be good. This is how a professional differs from an amateur. The doctor doesn’t say - I won’t operate today - the muse hasn’t come. He takes and operates, even if he got up on the wrong foot. But an artist, musician or actor is the same profession, which means you have to play by the rules of the adult world, where there are tasks, responsibilities, and deadlines. And all this must be done. But to support your creative soul and energy, promise yourself a bonus for your efforts. Starting from a hike in nature to a delicious chocolate or dress. The main thing is that the reward corresponds to the effort expended. Practice shows that in such situations the body and brain are very grateful and work harder next time, because they expect a treat (Pavlov’s dog really works). Option three. A brilliant idea! It needs to be implemented. But a genius, he is a genius, is to know neither boundaries nor obstacles. You need to understand that an idea and a plan are only well implemented when their implementation is approached competently and diligently. This means that if you understand that your skill is not enough yet, wait a year or two or ten years. If the idea is worthwhile, it can wait. Find a teacher and go study. If you can’t wait, contact someone who will help. Who knows and can do it better? Yes, you will be the author of the idea and the apprentice. But then a) learn a lot b) bring the idea to life - isn’t this the goal? When a person takes on the task of implementing something that frankly does not suit him, he is either a fool or a proud person (or both). The currently fashionable word synergy is indeed bearing fruit. The main thing is to be able to cooperate, negotiate, and look not for compromises, but for mutually beneficial points of contact. And this, by the way, also needs to be learned. This is how we had a conversation with teenagers. We also talked about comparing our works with the works of friends or great masters
