From the author: I am a certified specialist in the application of the method of functional biofeedback (FBU) in psychological, pedagogical and medical-social support. Modern living conditions are a source of a large number of stress factors (accelerating pace of life, constant changes environment, information and physical overload, environmental distress, etc.), affecting the physical and mental well-being of children. Stressful loads can lead to disturbances in attention, learning ability, behavior, development of the child, a decrease in his adaptive capabilities, and the emergence of emotional and somatic diseases. Everyone understands the need to teach a child to talk, read, and count. But adults do not always think that it is equally important to teach a child to sit, walk, breathe correctly, teach him to maintain his health and manage the capabilities of his body. How can this be accomplished? This can be accomplished using the BFB (biofeedback) complex - the “Volna” program, developed by the research and production company “Amalteya” (St. Petersburg). The psychoprophylactic program “Volna” is designed to teach the diaphragmatic-relaxation type of breathing, which is the most optimal for ensuring the vital functions of the body. Classes in the “Volna” program help solve such urgent and significant problems for the development of the child as: reducing morbidity; improving concentration, memory, performance; improving academic performance; creating favorable conditions for neuropsychic development; How does this happen? During a Bos session, a special device records the physiological parameters of the body, which are immediately converted into feedback signals in the form of sounds, pictures or a plot on the monitor screen. When training tasks are performed correctly, they change. Thus, the student gets the opportunity to evaluate which bodily sensations are associated with the desired changes and begins to reproduce them not randomly, but arbitrarily. In order to increase the motivation of children to complete tasks, game biofeedback with animation and a competitive element is provided, which turns learning into an exciting process. During training under the biofeedback program, a new state of the body is formed both at the physiological and psychological levels: the processes of excitation and inhibition are balanced; excess load on the cardiovascular system is reduced; metabolism is activated; blood supply to the brain improves; the psycho-emotional state is normalized; the general background of mood improves, self-esteem increases. The program is not medical equipment and is recommended for use by psychologists, social educators, and health professionals who have undergone appropriate training and received a certificate.
