Stereotypes of modern society, norms and laws are designed, first of all, to make human life simpler, clearer and safer. The slightest deviation from the norms is considered unacceptable. Unfortunately, any action as a result of intuitive insight is also perceived as a “deviation from the norm.” Throughout the history of the world, challenges to stereotypical thinking have been ridiculed, and any achievements have long been unrecognized. But it was the rebels and “white crows” who made great discoveries and gave their creations to humanity. This would not happen if they remained within the framework of clearly defined behavior and way of thinking. To achieve their plans and make their dreams come true, pioneers always followed their intuition, but not their logic. It was intuitive insights that easily replaced stereotypes. The search for answers and explanations that they so needed drowned out arguments, social postulates and not always correct laws, along with cause-and-effect chains. Often people who preach logical thinking exclude non-standard possibilities for solving problem situations. The space of logic is built on the following clear principles: - an alleged statement based on certain facts; - verification of this statement; - acceptance of a true statement and challenging a false one; - searches for new solutions in connection with newly discovered information. Such “algorithms” should be avoided in some situations. They lead to patterned thinking and predictable behavior. The above principles do not take into account individual factors, such as a person's personal capabilities. It is optimal to be able to combine flexible intuitive thinking with a straightforward, logical way of behavior. The intuitive component of the human “I” almost always turns out to be weaker than its logic, which is supported by stereotypes and rules. How can we help intuition win in the eternal dispute with rationalism? They say that if it is difficult to oppose something, then you need to try to make it your ally. Exercise “Call for Alliance” Direct your logical thinking to explain your intuitive insights that arise. It is best to imagine yourself at this moment in a vacuum, in places where there is no life with all its rules and principles. What should logic do? It cannot stop its work while you are awake, which means you are thinking. Why not direct her in the right direction? The following questions will help with this: - Why did I come to this particular thought? - Why did I remember this right now? Why am I behaving this way at this particular stage? - What else could my intuitive insight mean? What sphere of life, what problems does this concern? - What could be the consequences if I obey the intuitive call completely? And partly? Finding answers to such questions will load the logical component of consciousness. Thus, instead of arguing that your intuition is false, the reverse process will begin. Working on this exercise, especially in tandem with an experienced hypnologist, will help you fully understand the moments of logical and intuitive thinking, as well as learn to switch between them.
