From the author: The technique proposed in the article helps to understand that you should not force real children or anyone else to become the embodiment of a fantasy. Some parents carry ideals that their child should fulfill. This is what prevents them from seeing and accepting the child for who he is. Psychodrama helps you identify this ideal child and get rid of your fantasies. This will allow parents to improve their relationship with their child and get rid of their fantasies. And people who do not yet have children will have the opportunity to work with their fantasies. The goal of the “Ideal Child” technique is to help establish relationships with your own child. Instructions: You need to prepare a pen and paper. Participants need to close their eyes and turn to their fantasies about the ideal child , you are invited to look at him from all sides, smell him, touch him and listen to the sounds he makes. Next, the participants describe in detail or you can draw this imaginary child and briefly describe in words his character, who and what the child can become in the future. Then it is necessary to briefly describe what they would like to do together with the ideal child. Afterwards, the participants (possibly in pairs) together discuss the ideal child in detail, as if he exists in reality, describe his appearance, his character traits, as well as his meaning for the participant. Conduct a psychodrama with the "ideal child". Use an empty chair, or have someone else play the role. Each role can use an interview. Before the session ends, discuss your experience. This technique helps participants understand that they should not force real children or anyone else to become a fantasy..
