The writing of this mini-article was spontaneous. Thanks to the “non-specialist” from the forum. There are reasons why a specialist determines for himself, even after a telephone conversation, whether he will take a certain client into therapy or not. It is also often obvious to a professional who will definitely not come to therapy. But often these are the ones who ask to find time for them and certainly today. Familiar))) But here we will consider the options for answers from the client who is still ready to work on himself. A client who is ready: - is ready to formulate a request together with a psychologist and understand that the causes of the problems are in himself, and not in “husbands”, “mothers”, “colleagues”... - shows interest: asks the specialist about working hours; talks about how a psychologist can help him; -is ready to carry out the psychologist’s tasks, clearly understanding that they lead him to his goal; -is ready to understand that personal changes can affect all areas of life; -accept that working with a psychologist is sometimes incredibly difficult , but it’s worth it; - ready to stay when you want to escape; - ready to accept or try to understand that circumstances are sometimes difficult, but the reason is always inside and there is a way out; - trust the chosen specialist; - understands that a psychologist does not have a magic pill and this as a rule, long-term, serious work; - and finally, I am ready to pay for the work of a specialist.
