Gestalt therapy is a branch of psychotherapy with which you can discover your usual ways of interacting with others, gain new experiences and improve the quality of your life. This is about integrity and it is important to learn to notice all this in yourself. It happens that due to life experience, the client may not have formed or lost such internal integrity. It is from this complete experience of oneself that a person comes to understand his desires and see the choice of opportunities, where and how they can be satisfied. All the experience that a person has acquired during his life, on the one hand, helps, on the other hand, it can interfere with living somehow according to -different, because you really want it. It happens that a person lives according to the same life scenarios, which he himself does not notice. In the process of therapy, all the same mechanisms that the client has outside the office are repeated between the client and the therapist. And this is an opportunity to make them aware, to explore, and what stops you from doing differently. These may be certain attitudes, rules, what is necessary and correct, various fears, the inability to speak directly to others about your feelings and desires, distorted ideas about yourself, etc. It also happens that the client cannot understand for himself at all what he wants from life, what he likes and dislikes, where he wants to go. During a session with a Gestalt therapist, there can be different forms for developing awareness - experiments in the form of dialogue, monologue, working with metaphors, creative methods, working with the body, dreams, etc. This is an opportunity to see what was invisible and unobvious, but affects a person’s life. Gestalt therapy is a medium-term and long-term therapy approach, it depends on the problem situation, the solution of which is relevant for the person right now. During the therapy process, it may be that one request is resolved and a new one appears, with which work continues. Gestalt therapy comes in individual, family and group formats. Gestalt therapy is about awareness, relevance and responsibility. When a person realizes what he feels, what he wants and what is relevant to him now, what and how he does in his life. In this place, there is an opportunity to do something differently, to make your own personal choice on how to achieve what you want and increase satisfaction with your own life.
