So our life in quarantine continues. It probably happened that the work slowed down, stopped, and everything around became boring, life became sluggish, passive, monotonous... Nothing pleases, the colors around seemed to fade, became gray. How to get out of this circle of monotony and dullness? One of the ways is - it's paying attention to small things. What's going on around me? Where am I really, and what is around me? What do I feel in my body? Then I can notice that now I am drinking tea, and it is so tasty, aromatic, and warms my hands so pleasantly with its warmth. Or now I’m talking with my husband, and this is actually so interesting, and I look at what he is like, I notice his little features: a beautiful profile or slight stubble. Or my house actually smells so good! With what? And this is my mother preparing her signature nut pie! Such things help us to be here and now, reminding us that I am now in the world, and I am not cut off from the reality that surrounds me. By the way, the search for something so simple, but located in the present, is a good prevention of depression. I can also notice that what I’m doing at the moment somehow doesn’t quite appeal to me, maybe even irritates me and causes rejection. It’s important to stop here and hear yourself: “What do I really want now?” And again, it’s worth starting small: maybe it will be a delicious pie or hot tea, or maybe an interesting book that was abandoned a week ago. Thus, we learn to first notice our current state, and then notice our desires, even if simple and immediately imperceptible. This can also help if you work online non-stop, “run” and cannot stop - a good way slow down. And even though I cannot influence the world globally, I can influence myself, what I see around me, what the focus of my attention is on, where I invest my life energy. Harmony to you!
