If you believe the encyclopedias, then boredom is a negative emotional state that is opposed to fun and interest, primarily the latter. Boredom as a mass phenomenon is a product of modern life, the result of the availability of free time, the absence of a strict need to fight for survival, the loss of traditional meanings of life, and the ensuing crisis of desires. For a long time it was the lot of rich people who simply did not know what to do with their time. We don't like to be bored. We strive to turn our life into a black and white zebra. We don’t want to find ourselves in a calm gray zone. We are afraid of being bored. After all, boredom signals that not everything is okay with us. But it is boredom that helps make a decision, as the French writer Colet believed. After all, between the white stripe (when the mood varies from quiet joy to the desire to scream with delight to the whole planet) and the black one (from the state of “cats scratching at my soul” to really serious problems) there are still stages of the path. And you can also live them to your advantage. There is no need to be afraid of boredom. Sometimes she is even pleasant. She, too, can be tamed, and benefit from the current circumstances: the main thing is not to succumb to the desire to be “meaninglessly and hopelessly bored.” Otherwise, it could turn out like this: today I’m bored, tomorrow I’m bored, and then it’s not far from depression. There are different types of boredom. From easy, situational to exhausting and tedious. Breaking out of the captivity of one is as easy as shelling pears - hang up the phone, change the conversation to another topic, leave an uninteresting party. But what to do if you are bored every day? It's boring to go to work. It’s boring to wake up next to the same person... How often do we demand from those around us, especially from our loved ones: well, entertain me, entertain me, create conditions so that I don’t get bored. So we sit in the image of the Princess and the Pea and Princess Nesmeyana rolled into one. How rarely are we ready to create a holiday for someone ourselves. But there are people who are always interesting and fun to be around. And these are simply those who are interested in everything, who are determined to notice the good that is in our lives, and are ready to share it with others. How not to get bored? During your vacation The main thing is to remember that a vacation, by definition, cannot be unsuccessful. Even if you, young and free, mistakenly find yourself in a family recreation area with a friend weaving macrame, there is no need to despair! Build a castle for the children to cover the entire sandbox - their delight will be enough for you for the whole year - steal macrame from your friend and drag her off to the dance. And finally, take a closer look: maybe among the children there are boys over 18, and among the dads there are quite single men. A forced landing in the village with your grandmother or great aunt will provide you not only with memories of local attractions and the beauty of nature, but also with such stories - older ladies are full of them, like children with delight, in comparison with which all the TV shows of Andrei Malakhov and Oprah Winfrey, together taken. The holiday lull can be used to delve into your inner world, take a break from the constant race for impressions, and enjoy the calm passage of time. In a long, long line The line is where everyone traditionally waits long and painfully. Therefore, it will be better if you: - Play. With a child (if available) or with yourself: as Sherlock Holmes (what does the man opposite do, how old is he, is he married?) or as a stylist (what could this girl wear to turn her into a beauty?) . And if you really can’t bear it, try solving a couple of crossword puzzles. - Calmly think about your own things. When was the last time you managed to do this? - Let's talk. Here, too, you can find yourself a quite pleasant interlocutor. - You read it. When else will there be time? During a boring meeting, you shouldn’t hypnotize the clock hands or the boss himself in order to speed up the process - it’s useless! - and it’s better not to think about your own, girlish things: what if you get into trouble? You can also think about business. Only positive, creative,.
